"The Runaround" is an encaustic exploration that pulses with rhythmic parallels and striking contrasts. Rough gestural ovals in deep indigo and luminous white seem to chase each other endlessly, their mirrored forms locked in perpetual cycle. These dynamic marks emerge from contrasting surfaces-one rugged, tactile terrain, raw with texture, the other eerily smooth, glass like expanse where forms seem to hover, weightless and elusive. Two meandering lines in red and black carved deeply into the surface divide the differences in the composition while also uniting its similarites. Splashes of Kings Blue sit defiantly on top of the layers and also seep between them, softening the divide yet amplifying the hypnotic repetition. "The Runaround" is both a visual echo and a tactile paradox, drawing the viewer into an endless loop of pursuit of reflection.
