“Constants Are Changing” is an evocative encaustic diptych that weaves a story of duality and transformation through vibrant and layered imagery. Layers of red, blue, and white rise from a distressed, shifting background. Intuitive marks pulse with energy, guiding the eye upward. In dramatic contrast, a pattern of repeating yellow shapes moving in different directions on a pristine white field, offering a sense of rhythm and constancy… a heartbeat amidst chaos. A very subtle twisting thread of blue winds through the two panels and connects them signifying a deep and almost invisible bond. A flowing bas-relief form in pure white with deeply etched concentric lines floats on the surface and undulates through each piece. “Constants Are Changing” invites the viewer to consider not just how life evolves, but what within us remains true.
